Savannah- Thomas G. Cubbedge, Sr., 69, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 19, 2011 under the care of United Hospice of Savannah.
He was a graduate of Savannah High School and S.E. Tech in Americus, Georgia in 1966. For twenty three years he owned and operated Cubbedge Diesel Service, Inc. He retired in 2005. His lifelong hobby was wood working. His family will forever cherish the many beautiful intricate pieces of furniture and particularly a model boat that he built. He was a member of the Landings Club. His parents, Edwin W. and Emily G. Cubbedge preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda B. Cubbedge; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas G. Cubbedge, Jr. and Deborah of Guyton, GA; grandsons, Seth Thomas and Thomas Gamble, III; brother and sister-in-law, Edwin W. Cubbedge and Patty, their children, Edwin and Dana of Marietta, GA, and sister-in-law, Penny Rauscher and her husband Kevin, and their children, Lee and Crystal of Irwinton, GA.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. today, Monday, November 21, 2011 at Bonaventure Cemetery followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. at Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church.
